I am seeking a Senior Manager of Environmental Strategy for a leading oil and gas company to provide technical and project management leadership across critical environmental and ESG initiatives. This role oversees key strategic programs including environmental management systems, regulatory transparency initiatives, and compliance-related programs. The Senior Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to operations and QHSE teams, guiding regulatory interpretation and environmental strategy aligned with the company's long-term vision.
Key Responsibilities
Lead project management for strategic environmental programs, including EMS development, implementation, and compliance initiatives
Advise operations and environmental teams on emerging regulatory requirements and environmental policy developments
Support execution of the company's environmental and ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives
Develop and communicate project plans, progress updates, and technical findings to diverse audiences
Engage with industry trade associations to support environmental advocacy objectives and monitor industry trends
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure environmental projects meet technical, regulatory, and strategic goals
Identify emerging environmental risks and recommend proactive compliance strategies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, biology, or related science field
Minimum 10 years of experience in the natural gas industry
Demonstrated project management experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary environmental initiatives
Strong understanding of environmental regulatory processes and policy development
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter who can independently prioritize and drive multiple initiatives to completion
